Choosing paint should be simple, but with thousands of options, complex lighting conditions, and limited guidance, it often becomes overwhelming. We partnered with The Home Depot to explore how AI could transform the paint selection process, helping customers confidently find the right color for their space before ever opening a can. 

Our approach focused on guiding people through the decision rather than forcing them into it. By combining inspiration, conversational input, and visual simulation, we created multiple pathways for customers to discover the perfect color, from browsing by mood and style, to describing a project in natural language, to visualizing paint directly in their own space. 

The result was an AI-powered paint selection experience designed to remove uncertainty, build confidence, and help DIYers get it right the first time.

We partnered with The Home Depot to explore how AI could simplify one of the most challenging parts of any home project, choosing the right paint color. With thousands of options available, the process can quickly become overwhelming, and mistakes are costly in both time and effort. 

Our goal was to harness AI to guide customers through the decision, helping them confidently find the right color and get their project right the first time.
